As a lyrical soprano Wibeke has a broad and exciting repertoire ranging from early Renaissance to modern classical music and opera.

Wibeke Wetaas, was born and raised in Stavanger. She started her voicestudies in 2000, while studying music and pedagogics at The University College in Bergen. She got her bachelor degree in vocal performance from the Grieg Academy of Music in Bergen, and NTNU in Trondheim where she studied with coloratura soprano Hilde Haraldsen Sveen and tenor Kåre Bjørkøy. In the spring of  2011 she finished her mastersdegree in vocal performance at the University of Stavanger with the famous Norwegian-Italian soprano Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz. 

Wibeke has a broad and exciting repertoire ranging from early Renaissance to lieder, chansons  and romances to modern classical music and opera. She has participated in several opera productions. In March 2011 she appeared in the title role in Claudio Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea at the University of Stavanger with great success. The fall of 2010 she sang the role of Frasquita in theOslo Opera Festival's production of Bizet Carmen. She also sang the role of Dido in the University of Bergen 50års anniversary production of "Dido and Aeneas" in 2008.

Otherwise, she has held several concerts and sung soloist-parts in Brahm's Ein Deutsches Requiem, Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Dvorak Mass in D major. January 2013 she appeared as a soloist in Stavanger Symphony Orchestra's chambermusic concert. She has also several times been a performer in the concert series "Summer in Bjergsted" in the Stavanger Concert Hall.
